My name is Jeanine Jones. I am a Christian, a recently retired Clinical Social Worker (June 2019), and a fellow chronic pain sufferer survivor. God’s blessings have been abundant throughout my life. He is my Heart’s Way, and one of the main reasons I have been led to continue this journey in helping fellow counselors through this blog.
As a Clinical Social Worker, I worked in the mental health field for 38 years. Personally, my struggles with chronic pain have led me down unexpected paths. I have learned how physical pain can be intricately connected with emotional pain. My clinical work with clients focused on both the mind (emotional) and the body (physical). But, I believe that the spiritual (soul) part of us is equally important. As for me, music stirs my soul and books embody my passion for knowledge and understanding. I am a thinker by nature and a helper by nurture…traits passed on to me through my parents. My family is loving and loyal. Having married later in life, I now have the privilege of being embraced by a “Braveheart” husband!
So, with The Heart’s Way for Creative Clinicians, I’ve decided to spend some time sharing a bit of what I’ve learned along the way; thoughts and ideas that hopefully will help you with your clinical work, and perhaps even to touch your hearts and minds. To share topics that may be helpful in your work and practice, such as creative ways to treat clients, manage job stress, make documentation less tedious, develop plans for self-care, and to look at clients through a more humanistic lens. In addition to written posts, my desire is to also share with you: video messages, Guided Imagery audio posts, Music Therapy techniques, and other creative tools.
Thank you for taking the time to read “About Me.” I’d love to hear from you! If you have a comment, question, or an idea you would like to share please contact me using the comment form below or email me at theheartswayforclinicians@gmail.com.

Hi my name is Martha,
One of my best friends forwarded this information. She told me I might like your blogs and that you are a wonderful woman of God. I have gone through a couple already. I am not a clinician but have always been a psychology junkie. I struggle with some emotional issues at times and the learning helps at times to keep me moving forward. I look forward to reading and engaging more. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and life experiences. What a blessing you are to others.
Sincerely
Martha Krech

Hi Martha,
It’s so nice to meet you! Thank you for your kind comments. And thank you to your good friend for sharing information about my blogs with you. I do hope that the posts and other content, such as music therapy playlists and reading recommendations, will be interesting and informative! Even though I am now retired and not actively seeing clients any longer, I believe God is encouraging me to “write” as a way to help others in this chapter of my life. Thank you for sharing a bit of your story with me. Let us encourage one another!
Have a beautiful day!
Jeanine
